Teddies go to Haiti!
Caroline McManus of Glasgow TOS was
moved by the devastation caused in Haiti by the Earthquake. Caroline
contacted the local paper, 'The Glasgow Evening Times' who printed
a lovely photo (see below) and a write-up calling for volunteers to knit teddies to send to Haiti
for the children affected by the quake. The response has been overwhelming. Already 40
people have contacted Caroline asking for a Teddy Knitting pattern.

Here are some pictures of the Italian teddies and 2 pictures of the knitting team.
In the picture Italian Theosophical member Maria Teresa Elicio
(on the right) who, jointly with her husband Marco Rinaldi Chini
promoted the work, “infecting” female friends: the first to be "contaminated"
by them was Marco’s mum,
Maria Teresa Tinivella (on the left, in the photo)
